I love this movie, I think it's very underrated.

I really like it as well. A lot of reviews are negative, but it is actually a decent film. I would classify it as more of a B-movie, but that doesn't mean that it isn't entertaining.

Pumpkinhead is perfect dark fairytale. it's one of my favorite horrors.
Sequels suck btw, especially part 2...

I like the fact that there isn't really lot of gore, and no sex whatsoever. The atmosphere and mood is fantastic, there is some genuinely creepy scenes in the movie. The night-time scenes are fabulous with the creepy moon rays shinning through-out, the swirling mist on screen was great and overall the movie had a real dark feeling to it.
Lance Henriksen turns in a great performance as always. Great 80's movie IMO.

The swamp setting was terrific, and whole first witch encounter was just creepy...
also, when Pumpkinhead starts going after teens, you kinda feel sorry for them. Sure, that guy was an ass, but again, Pumpkinhead was whole lot worse... oh and not to mention how Lance's character ends up... Ending was terrific.

I agree Jack, it had a dark, gothic feel to it. The The Witches cabin was also pretty creepy.
