I was totally annoyed by the use of it in Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull, but it looked good in Revenge Of The Sith.

I guess rob wouldn't be bothered by this clip since criticizing CGI is a bad thing.

Here is another movie that rob would likely praise for its excellent CGI work.

when you look at the production value, its obvious that the cgi youre about to watch is going to match up with its awfulness...

CGI can be overdone - I grew up on old school special effects and as one good comparison, the 2010 remake of Clash of the Titans falls short from the original back in 1981. Harryhausen is a tough act to follow - Jim Danforth studied under him and he produced a few magical pieces like "Jack the Giant Killer" (yes my avatar is a shot from that movie) but it was the animations in that movie that really sparkled. Neon glowing witches and demons are scary (scenes from that movie were actually cut per censorship requirements in the UK) but maybe it's fantasizing about being abducted by the evil wizard Pendragon that makes it a fulfilling movie watching experience for me.

For some unrated releases, they go back and add more blood splatter to scenes that didn't have it in the theatrical version. A notable example is Live Free Or Die Hard, which was the first PG-13 entry in the series, but they added lots of R-Rated material for the DVD version.
