Dick,

I read in an interview that you did some stuntwork on the film The Hindenburg. That's always been a favorite film of mine, ever since I saw it on the big screen in 1975 when I was six. I very recently bought a copy of the DVD and watched the film again. I'd love to know, which stunts/scenes did you perform?

My first guess would be the unlucky victim who leaps, screaming and engulfed in flames, from the crashing dirigible. Or perhaps you doubled for Bill Atherton during the agoraphobic "wing repair" sequence?

Any comments you can add would be greatly appreciated!

Craig,

The critics weren't very kind to it at the time, but then, they're critics. What do they know?

Even now, "sentimental favorite" bias aside, I think it's a pretty great movie from the mid-70's "American disaster film" trend. Check it out if you get the chance.
