Hard to say. For a minute there, the camera felt as if it were one of those amateurish style films, I guess with today's modern age, that's what they were aiming for. Keeping in style with the grainy 1974 camerawork.
Overall, I like it. I will reserve judgement until I see the movie. I'm glad Lionsgate is doing this instead of Platinum Dunes. I wonder what made Platinum Dunes pass up on this. If anything, the glimpse of Leatherface was interesting. I noticed that Gunnar Hansen plays a small part. His name is in the credits.
I'll wait until January.
