I remember when I first saw this many many years ago as a young teen (back then it was the scariest movie I ever saw imo). Despite its extremely low budget, the creepy organ music, and Candace Hilligoss as the mentally tortured woman make this stand the test of time.

Great movie. I loved it, but haven't seen it in years.
I got this DVD on some website lottery, along with Demons, Demons 2, and two other flicks (can't remember which two, but they were also cult classics. )... but owners of that site never mailed them.
I guess they didn't do shipment outside USA. You had to send them email every day, and I got picked on draft.

My favorite classic horror film of all-time. I ADORE this thing.
And the Criterion Collection DVD is the only one that matters.

I haven't seen that specific DVD release, but I believe it's great release. CC has really good titles and I think it's pointless to say how much they contributed to standard DVD format releases (starting with times when they released movies on Laserdisc)

Not sure, but I hear they invented / pattened the audio commentary.

Yes, I think they were the first who did that. I think it was King Kong (I could be wrong, but it was one of the bnw classic)
and they were the fist who used latterbox format.
