After years of writing for others and seeing directors interpret my work, which isn't always how I saw it in my head, I finally got a chance to direct. My friend Thomas Wermke invested his own money and his faith in me, and the end result is a thriller named RAPTURE. Some info about the movie can be seen here on the Pit of Horror:

RAPTURE NEWS

A trailer will be available in the coming months. Post production is well underway.

Cool, I definitely know how it feels just being the writer. You get scared because you aren't in control. In my case, I have been pretty lucky so far, though I did direct one in CRUEL. I have found the new happy medium of second unit directing, FX supervisor and script consultant. You end up with a more secure feeling than just writing it and handing it over.

More power to you, though. I am only wanting to helm one more film overall at the moment...no real aching for it as much as when younger. You have to have that passion and low-stress level to be THE guy. I wish you the best.

Running time is 102 minutes. No stars in it. There is a small cameo without dialogue of Sherri Levinsky who played bus driver in Friday the 13th part 6. She showed up when I posted a casting call for extras. She is much older.

We are getting audio replacement for actors which need to do it. Things are exciting. A completion date of May 28 is what we all are aiming for. After that we are going to shop it around. A trailer will be made soon thereafter.

I have tightened the film up and trimmed ten minutes out. Flows nicely.
