In THOR the movie, the Thor's Asian sidekick was played by Tadanobu Asano, who might be more familiar to you if you remember Kakihara, the sadomasochistic slit-mouth yakuza enforcer from Ichi The Killer?

I don't know what they did to him, but he looks lot younger in Thor then in Ichi The Killer?
You know you are a true horror fan when someone sees your DVD collection and accuse you of being a Satanist.

I haven't too at first, but I recently checked Ichi (full uncut in HD... mmm) and damn, I was sure it was him. Later on, IMDB does in fact credits him on both rolls.

Only I wasn't sure how the heck this guy looks even younger? Those movies are nearly 10+ years apart and make up couldn't fix all of that.

anyway, Kakihara was terrific. I am sure Christopher Nolan watched Ichi at some point, since Joker had similar personality (only lot more over the top) and of course "the scars".

ps. Ichi manga is even more f-up then any of those movies.
