Movie industry in Serbia is bit complicated. It's basically owned by two guys, who are old Serbian actors. Both of them turned to production and movie finances. One of them rarely ever makes a screen appearances now (but directs and does production\marketing), but other is in EVERY SINGLE SERBIAN MOVIE OR TV SHOW (and Serbia produces mostly TV shows). You know, he gives the money for movie, but demands a roll (usually lead or major) in that movie\tv show.

This was not the case with Serbian movie (and few other horrors) because he didn't have a part in production. SM, Zone of the Dead, TT Syndrome, Sheitan's Warrior, they were all self-produced. ZotD took more then five years to complete.

TT Syndrome was actually sponsored by actors who starred in that movie. They literally walked to director and gave him money from their own pockets to complete the movie. They did it for free (acting part)
