I think I'll pass... I am not paying for yet another same TCM movie that is now picking up 3D gimmick.

Even TCM Beginning was literally the same movie as TCM remake, if you don't count first 15-20 minutes. Last 30-45 minutes were Leatherface running around with chainsaw. )

I also liked TCM remake for some reason. I thought it was fine and you have to remember that horror movies at that time were just crap after crap, so straight TCM horror remake was just refreshing.

but dunno, prequel didn't work for me. It seem more like a sequel then a prequel. There was just little of "prequel" in it and more then a half of a movie seemed like remake of TCM remake... you know, just Leatherface who runs around with chainsaw killing random teen that happen to be there. It wasn't bad, it's highly watchable, it just didn't work for me as a prequel that studio claim it to be.

marketing sold you idea of "birth of horror icon", Leatherface's early days, yet all we got was scene that was like 15 seconds long, when Leatherface is shown as baby, then in next cut he is chopping meat with a cleaver. I wanted to see Leatherface as kid, you know, how did his disease affect him? How his family treated him? Why did he became so fucked up? but no, instead we just got 15 seconds scene of "Birth of Horror Icon" and that's it. They could easily add subtitle "TCM: How grandpa lost his legs" because that scene was lot longer then actual Leatherface beginning.

I thought the prequel kicked ass, not as good as the remake... but still damn good imo.

I loved the remake. Now I'm looking forward to seeing Leatherface 3D not only because I can not get enought of Leatherface, but also because Bill Moseley plays Drayton Sawyer..!!! :pimp:

see I loved the TCM prequel, it was all Leatherface fucking shit up all the time....

...and just when you thought the prissy princess was going to escape, leather jumps up form the back seat and chainsaws her through the car seat.......fuck yeah

Exactly, I hate when people say **I didn't like the prequel cos everyone died** of course they all died, it's a prequel lol.

Yeah some people complained about it. Read some of the threads on IMDB, some people were saying **what was the point of this movie? everyone died at the end**

Best movies are when everyone ends up dead. :lol2:

I swear, some horrors are like those '60 Batman show, when Batman escapes from trap because script says so. :chair:

I'm being optimistic about this one. I think it will be good, I mean it's Leatherface, who can't love Leatherface? I loved the TCM films because they were realistic. I mean they were believable. It wasn't like it was some supernatural slasher.

I always wanted to see the TCM continue forward. Not to mention awesome chainsaw deaths.

The release date has been pushed from October 5, which is very horror friendly, to next January, which is known as a dumping ground for movies. They must not have any faith in the movie.

I guess they know that it sucks and have no faith in its ability to make money.
