Nightbreed was great movie but not Barker's final vision. Studio as usual wanted changes that took away from direction Barker wanted. I love the book Cabal it came from and couldn't wait for the movie when it came out. When I saw it I thought it was good but WTF????? I am one of those who is hoping for a director's cut of Nightbreed so we can see what Barker invisioned it to be. There are some awesome characters in there with alot of back story to them. The book Nightbreed Chronicles tells alot about them.

I loved the Median setting. It's typical Barker.

However, I would love to see Waveworld one day at big screen.

anyone knows what happen to Torture Souls? Did Barker gave up on it?

I read all the time about Barker movies in development but they never seem to be completed and released. Tortured Souls would be an amazing movie if it's done right. I haven't read Weaveworld in long time but that would make another incredible movie.

Scott Bakula was great in Quantum Leap.

Exactly. Going around saying, "oh...boy" everywhere because he was such a good little dork, he couldn't swear. (No, I know it was TV but he didn't even look like a guy who'd ever sworn in his life.)

Torture Souls seems to be founded and directed by him, so he probably doesn't have studio pressure to release it on specific date. I am with you on Waveworld, and I think Damnation Game would also make a great movie. I read the book in like two days when I first got it.
