First of all, let me just put out there that I have no financial stake in Camp Blood. I hooked John up with a few guests way back when but that's it. I'm am just posting this as a long time G&G board member.
That being said...I am sick and tired of all the bullshit negative posts about this convention! Good lord, I can't go a single day without reading " I heard this" or "someone told me that"...about Camp Blood. If you have a legitimate complaint, I understand...but dammit man, do you people (and you know who you are) go around to all the different horror con message boards and do this crap? Just curious.
I mean really...what convention posts when they puchase the guests rooms and plane tickets? Its June, and people are acting like you can't buy a plane ticket less then two months before an event. Huh?? It really is none of your business, regardless!
I could go on, and I just might later...but dammit man, some of you people are dead set on this show failing, and all I can say is that you must have some sort of life wishing such negative things on people.

Erik....that COULD explain that, but how do you explain that NOT ONE contract has been signed from ANY GUEST? This coming from a few of the more BIGGER guests on the list.
I know most cons don;t even announce a guest if they dont have a signed contract, let alone 80!
I could say even more, but maybe you should know what the hell you are talking about before you continue to be the convention thug.
I, i repeat, I AM NOT BASHING CAMP BLOOD. The guests are the ones telling people this information. And if the guests are, what the hell are us busting our asses to save for this thing suppossed to think?
I have only got a ONE non refundable plane ticket, but people coming from overseas are in it for a lot more.
If there are problems, they should be fessed up. Just saying.
Or at least do something to stop having your guests telling people the show is, like Walt used to say, is 'doomed!'

And as for me knowing what he hell I'm talking about...I'll gladly put my sources/contacts against yours and see who comes out better. Put it this way...let's see whose standing in line to pay for autographs and let's see whose working with the talent.

If you're so concerned about this, why the hell do you keep posting on here, and why are you even going to the Con? (since you say that NOT ONE contract has been signed by any of the guest)
Why did you buy a plane ticket? why did you book your hotel? and have you even bought you CB ticket yet?

im not sure why someone like Britbuff is considered a "hater" just because hes concerned after a couple of the CELEB GUESTS themselves gave him this info. Not some spiteful competing promoter or whoever its being said is trying to have the con fail. The Guests themselves are concerned. So i dont see how its considered negative or being Hater for showing concern over something youve invested money in. Doesnt sound too unreasonable. |

I don't know how these events are organized. I'm not even interested in gettin' autographs from the Celebs; I ain't got that kinda money. Amazing, not one guest celebrity or otherwise has contacted me with any issues or concerns... but since Scott has the direct line to these folks why don't you shoot em my way instead of starting rumors... funny, only people complaining are 2. What a waste man... I'm busting my ass to work on this show and my film and I come off a serious 2 week illness to get this from someone who complains constantly no matter what is going on. If you don't want to come, please stay home.

Scott complains constantly no matter what... I have lived up to my word on EVERY show we have done even when we HAD to change the date on FF3, the show still went on as promised a month later. Hate to see him really have a problem like the Van Halen show here in Dallas that 50,000 people showed for and had to leave cause the band didn't show. Still haven't gotten my damn money back for that shit lol!

I, for one, am sooo excited for this! I wish there wasnt so much negativity on here but I'm not going to let it get me down! Until I hear that the sky fell down or something I will be looking forward to meeting the guests, you other crazy fans, and just having a great fun weekend to celebrate some great movies! The only thing I have a question about John is if there will be a schedule of sorts posted soon? I know you have been sick, this IS NOT a complaint, I'm just curious? we arent getting there until friday night and not staying at the Crowne so not sure when and where we can pick up our tickets for sat and sun? |

I am not trying to be an asshole either but I have some concerns about Steve Miner. Deadpit said they have talked to one of the people involved with Camp Blood, and that Steve will not be there. Like I said I am not trying to throw fuel on the fire, it's just that I heard this on their show a few weeks ago. Anyway I am looking forward to the convention regardless of this.

Deadpit has been against this show from day one...I have worked with those guys before and don't know what their problem is towards Camp Blood, but for whatever reason they have gone out of their way to slam it at every possibl moment.
