I doubt it will happen because the new studio doesn't care about reprising and homaging old roles. They didn't to it for the TCM remake and won't do it for this. www.fridaythe13th1-5.com

Michael Bay probably won't be involved. He had a 10 day window were he told the screenwriters to get him a good script and if they failed, he'd pass. I'm looking forward to the upcoming documentary rather then any crappy remake. Still, to this day, watching the Texas Chainsaw Massacre again can even make you forget you've wasted the equivalent of 3.78 years, sitting in darkened theaters, hoping to see something like it happen again. It's that good. NOBODY has done it better. Chas. Balun

I just think that by not having someone who in my opinion was the best Jason ever, they are being stupid. It makes me appreciate Part 3 so much more when I see someone else play Jason that looks like Frankenstein. I want to see a Jason that chases after people, shoots a speargun, crushes people's heads till their eyeball pops out, and chops someobe in half all the while scaring the living crap out of me. And if I were Michael Bay, I would demand a good script too. Who in the hell decided that the guys who wrote that piece of shit FVJ should write the new one? Hire Martin Kitrosser and the other person who wrote part 3 with him and have them write the script for the new film!! Then we would have something good for a change. And of course Richard would have to be Jason. http://www.theyouawards.com

From what Erik told me-the doc is going to be a real treat for the fans. But seriously-go to www.shootfortheedit.com That is Bay's site where you can join his forums. Make your voice heard. I think that it does bode well that Bay wants a good script-that he just not rushing into the filming after he makes the Transformers sequel. It could be that he has seen the films, which would be a vast improvement! http://www.theyouawards.com

The writer's strike is what is looming and why Bay neded a script with that time frame in mind. The doc is an exstension of Crystal Lake Memories, will have interviews with with people from all 12 movies and is hosted by Crispin Glover. Should be amazing. You are right about that Erik, I just now was thinking about that when I read your response. I think that is supposed to start on 10/31. That doc is going to be cool. http://www.theyouawards.com

if the remake is done right then it could be good, yeah it could blow but it looks like bay is looking for a good script. i say after the fucking shitty freddy vs jason and that fucking jason in space bullshit that them starting over is a good thing, just my fucking opnion i mean we get a human jason again which is what i been waiting for, im one for giving a movie a chance, remake..sequel, prequel..original idea or what ever the doc will be cool but i say bring on jason again as well |

Kane is a good choice. He brings the anger to the character, while Brooker was by far my favorite Jason. He just freaked me out watching that movie. Plus his smile as he lifts the mask is classic. I agree, Jason in Space, WTF!!!Why? |

Money was the reason for that Jason X. I was watching the part 3 commentary last night and I was listening to the cast talk about what was scary in 1982 as opposed to what they are now. I would much rather have what was scary in 1982. It worked then and it still works today. Makes me appreciate part 3 a lot. http://www.richardjbrooker.com/ http://www.theyouawards.com/
